Avoid Petroleum Treating Scrapes

If you have kids you know how often they skin their knees and get scrapes all other their body. Using Neosporin is a pretty common go-to choice but let me share with you why you should avoid antibiotic creams like that.

Firstly, It can prevent the body from building natural immunities. Lack of exposure to pathogens increases the incidence of autoimmune disease. We need to be able to interact with bacteria!

Also, it contains petroleum. Neosporin combines several antibiotics in a petroleum jelly base. Dr. Oz advises us to “steer clear of any products that list petroleum jelly or mineral oil on the ingredient list.” The European Union has banned many petroleum jelly products, and experts are concerned they could be linked to cancer.

Perhaps most importantly, the global overuse of antibiotics is causing the emergence of super-resistant organisms which are threatening the well-being of all of us. Currently an antibiotic-resistant bacterial infection is sweeping through India, killing newborns. Experts say this could be a sign of what’s to come globally, given the widespread overuse of antibiotics. Using Neosporin contributes to this!

Doesn't sound good to me at all. Thankfully, there are several alternatives.

One of them I want to share with you guys today. My family have been using it for some time and I honestly can say that I love it! It's Curoxen. You can find them on Instagram @curoxen or visit their webpage: curoxen.com. I love one of their main ingredients – calendula. My grandmother taught me to use this incredible plant for many health issues, one of which is to help speed up healing of wounds and minor cuts. It also helps relieve insect bites, acne and bed sores.

Reasons to choose Curoxen:

  • Kills 5x more bacteria than antibiotic ointments like Neosporin
  • Made from 3 clean, natural, organic ingredients: oxygenated olive oil, calendula, and lavender essential oil
  • Primary ingredients are Certified Organic
  • No Allergic Reactions: Won't cause allergic reactions like Neosporin can
  • Since CUROXEN contains no synthetic antibiotics, CUROXEN won’t lead to antibiotic resistance.

You can find Curoxen on Amazon. I am curious what do you guys use for your family first aid ointment?
