With the exception of color additives and a few prohibited ingredients, a cosmetic manufacturer may use almost any raw material as a cosmetic ingredient and market the product without an approval from the FDA,”- FDA.
The cosmetic industry is not FDA approved but FDA regulated. So, it has been flying under this umbrella for the past 81 years. The last piece of federal regulation (a single page) was passed in 1938. What this means is that cosmetic companies are free to do whatever they want without government supervision, bottling and packaging known carcinogens and endocrine disruptors into products that we use every single day, such as mascara, face wash, shampoo, deodorant, etc. Companies can use any adjectives to market their products like “green” and “eco”. This means that what goes on the front of the package has no relevance to what ingredients they list at the back of it. They can hide any ingredient behind the words “fragrance” and “parfum”. It is truly a “whatever works is good enough” formula.
Most women with hormone imbalances start gaining weight and find it next to impossible to shed it without crazy diets...most of which don't work. Even though they are exhausted, they still try working out...and the pounds won't budge. If there's a hormone imbalance involved, the old "eat less, move more" formula doesn't work, it sure didn't work for me. Does it work for you?
Reclaim who you were before stuff dimmed your light. Heal your heart. Heal your gut. Balance your hormones. Transform your body.
We ladies are taught from a really young age that beauty products will make us look better, feel more confident and attractive. Girls start wearing makeup and spraying perfumes at a really young age, and many women feel that they can’t get out of the house without it. That’s how significant the role of beauty products are in our lives.
But do you know what you’re applying on your skin on a daily basis? Are you aware of the harmful ingredients? What I’m about to tell you might scare you, but knowledge is power and with this information, you can make better choices.
Lets talk about your gut today.
It's really important to have a regular bowel movement (I'm talking once daily and feeling emptied) for your overall health and even more so when you are suffering from various hormonal imbalances.
When you're constipated, the metabolised hormones re-enter the body, Its toxic and inhibits the endocrine glands from producing more "fresh" hormones. You accumulate harmful estrogens and become really low on progesterone. It can cause PMS, PCOS, harsh menopause symptoms, belly fat, infertility and even breast cancer!
Constipation is on top of the list when it comes to digestive issues women experience, so let me assure you it's not just you.
In desperation many women often resort to laxatives, not realizing that these can perpetuate the constipation cycle, which often has multiple causes.
