Raw Cacao Brownie Recipe

These rich, chewy brownie bites are loaded with chocolate flavor and come together really fast — no baking required! There is no sugar, no oil, no flour, no butter, and no eggs hidden in their rich and chocolaty taste. These brownies are gluten-free, sugar-free, vegan, and all-natural. They are made only of things that are actually good for you – natural foods that contain important nutrients.

I love raw the CACAO powder I use in this recipe. NOT COCOA powder which is raw cacao that’s been roasted at high temperatures. Roasting changes the molecular structure of the cacao bean, reducing the enzyme content and lowering the overall nutritional value.

Raw cacao is full of magnesium, iron, potassium, calcium, zinc, copper and manganese. My favorite thing is that raw cacao boosts your mood. It can increase levels of certain neurotransmitters that promote a sense of well-being. Phenylethylamine is the chemical that is released when we experience LOVE and it is found in raw cacao. Also Raw Cacao is a guard against toxins. As a potent antioxidant, cacao can repair the damage caused by free radicals and may reduce the risk of certain cancers. In fact, cacao contains far more antioxidants per 100g than acai, goji berries and blueberries!! Antioxidants are responsible for 10% of the weight of raw cacao.

Some of other health benefits of Raw Cacao:

  • Reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Cut your risk of stroke
  • Shield nerve cells from damage
  • Protect your nervous system
  • Lower insulin resistance

Pretty awesome, isnt it? Totally guilt free brownie bites!
