Cabbage Detox Salad

Today I want to share one of my favorite detox salads with you guys!  The combination of cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes and dill give you an amazing mix of health benefits from skin to brain health. Each one of these ingredients are a vitamin and enzyme bomb with pages of health benefits.

Did you know that cabbage is amazing for your hair and skin?  Cabbage is packed with vitamin C and sulfur, both of which remove toxins such as free radicals and uric acid from the body.  The sulfur helps produce keratin - the key structural material for you skin. The 54% daily value of vitamin C supplied to the body with one serving of cabbage is impressive too – even more than oranges. Vitamin C is essential for beautiful skin.

A single tomato can provide about 40% of the daily vitamin C requirement. The two main components of tomatoes, coumaric acid and chlorogenic acid, fight against nitrosamines which are produced in the body and are the main carcinogens found in cigarettes. Tomatoes are great for your skin and prevent urinary tract infections.

Cucumbers fight cancer, aid in weight loss and digestion, reduce cholesterol, promote joints health and reduce inflammation.

Radishes are amazing for digestion, detoxification and kidney cleanse.

This salad is high in probiotics, antioxidants and beautifying minerals.  It also helps you to regulate your blood sugar and fights inflammation.  All disease is rooted in chronic inflammation and this salad is sure can hep you with that.

Also this salad is great for weight loss – the cabbage helps you feel full and get plenty of your required nutrients without many calories.
