We recently talked about health issues associated with the consumption of cow’s milk, and many of you have asked me about alternatives. Organic, unsweetened coconut milk and almond milk in the stores seem like great products at first, but are they really as “healthy” as people believe?
Today I want to share a Traditional Russian Beet Salad recipe. I posted this in my Instagram Stories last week and everyone has been asking for it! All Russians love this salad dearly and know how to make it. It is a super savory potato salad, similar to German style, but it’s lighter and dairy free!
This Raw Banana Coconut Pie is one of my family’s favorite raw treats. Raw, gluten free, dairy free, vegan and not a gram of refined sugar. My husband thinks it would be even better with a shot of rum. It's drool worthy and impossible to eat without enjoying it so much you close your eyes in the process. Best of all - it's healthy and so ridiculously simple to make.
INGREDIENTS
These rich, chewy brownie bites are loaded with chocolate flavor and come together really fast — no baking required! There is no sugar, no oil, no flour, no butter, and no eggs hidden in their rich and chocolaty taste. These brownies are gluten-free, sugar-free, vegan, and all-natural. They are made only of things that are actually good for you – natural foods that contain important nutrients.
A bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado sandwich is one of the most delicious combinations. So how can we make a pork-free, guilt-free version of this irresistable sandwich? The secret is to replace the bacon with naturally flavored tempeh, commonly available in many supermarkets. Its salty, tangy, savory flavor stands in for bacon so well you might prefer it. There are also varieties of tempeh flavored with natural smoke and maple syrup. Yum! I also like to use a wheat-free, gluten free bread.
